Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism is regarded as a serious crime in this journal. This journal checks each paper for potential instances of plagiarism using the Turnitin Similarity detection program. The initial stage of the manuscript review procedure is a plagiarism check. Submissions that exhibit an unfavourable degree of resemblance to already published works are promptly rejected. Manuscripts that are submitted ought to be the author(s)' original works. The publisher's editorial policies state that each instance of content overlap is investigated further for possible plagiarism. An overall similarity of 15% is permitted by IJABMR for an article to be evaluated for publication. Also, the AI (Artificial Intelligence) usage should not exceed 20%.
Types of Plagiarism
Description
Direct Plagiarism
The unacknowledged replication of words, sentences, ideas, or research findings from another source, presented as one’s own original work.
Self-Plagiarism
The practice of reusing portions of one’s previously published or submitted work without proper citation or disclosure, thereby misrepresenting it as new content.
Inadequate Paraphrasing
The superficial alteration of wording while preserving the original structure and meaning, which fails to demonstrate genuine understanding or originality.
Verbatim Reproduction Without Attribution
The exact copying of text without the use of quotation marks and without appropriate source acknowledgment.
Improper or Insufficient Citation
The inclusion of a reference while failing to sufficiently transform the original material, resulting in unintended plagiarism due to close resemblance to the source.
Section-Specific Similarity Concerns
Elevated similarity within key sections—such as the abstract, introduction, methodology, discussion, or conclusion—may signal potential plagiarism, except in cases involving standardised terminology or universally accepted procedures.
Fabricating and Stating False Information
To uphold the highest standards of scholarly integrity, IJABMR will issue appropriate post-publication notices whenever necessary. Authors who are found to have submitted manuscripts containing falsified information, fabricated data, or manipulated images shall be subject to strict sanctions. In such cases, the concerned articles will be formally retracted to preserve the credibility and reliability of the scientific record.
Archiving Policy
The Journal is firmly committed to ensuring the long-term preservation and accessibility of its scholarly content through its participation in the PKP Preservation Network. By leveraging the robust framework of the LOCKSS program, the Journal benefits from a decentralised and distributed preservation system that guarantees seamless, perpetual access while safeguarding the authenticity of the original published material.
Through its integration with Open Journal Systems, the Journal authorises the PKP Preservation Network to digitally archive and preserve its publications. This strategic approach reflects the Journal’s unwavering dedication to maintaining the integrity, availability, and longevity of all articles it publishes.
Human Rights Policy
Adherence to Ethical Standards
All research submitted to the Journal must be conducted in strict compliance with established ethical principles. For instances where ethical adherence is uncertain or questionable, the Editors reserve the right to reject the manuscript and/or seek clarification from the relevant institutional ethics committee. Notably, editorial decisions may be based on ethical considerations irrespective of prior approval granted by any ethics body.
Compliance with International Guidelines
Research involving human participants, biological materials, or personal data must conform to the principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki and must receive prior approval from a duly recognised ethics committee.
Mandatory Ethical Approval Documentation

All submitted manuscripts must be accompanied by formal approval from the appropriate institutional ethics or bioethics committee, clearly demonstrating compliance with ethical research standards.
Informed Consent Research Policy
Confidentiality and Participant Privacy
The Journal strictly upholds the protection of participant identity and privacy. Manuscripts must not include any identifying details, personal information, or images that could reveal the identity of research participants, unless explicit, documented consent has been obtained.
Compliance and Ethical Disclosure
Authors are required to include a clear and comprehensive statement within the manuscript affirming adherence to applicable ethical guidelines. This statement must specify the approving ethics committee, along with the corresponding approval or reference number, where applicable, thereby ensuring transparency and accountability in the research process.

Research Data Policy
Data sharing is fundamental to advancing research, enhancing transparency, reproducibility, and trust in scholarly communication. The International Journal of Advances in Business and Management Research supports researchers in storing, sharing, discovering, and reusing data, and actively collaborates with stakeholders to improve data accessibility and impact. While some data are included within published articles, many essential datasets remain external yet are vital for validating findings. This policy promotes the discoverability, accessibility, and responsible reuse of such underlying research data beyond the published manuscript.
Principles of the Research Data Policy
The Research Data Policy promotes open access by encouraging the free availability of data with minimal restrictions on reuse, thereby supporting wider dissemination and innovation. It affirms that researchers retain ownership and control over their data and deserve appropriate recognition for their contributions. The policy also acknowledges disciplinary differences in data-sharing practices and encourages flexibility accordingly. Furthermore, it highlights the importance of collaboration among stakeholders to improve data accessibility, maximise reuse, and minimise unnecessary duplication of research efforts.
